Chakra Meditation: The Myth and The Reality

7 Chakras

Chakra meditation is a popular term that has been as much confused about as it has been corrupted by the mala fide intentions of those who just use it as a slogan to grind their own axe for whatever reason they do it so.

Meditation is something that tries to still the noise in the mind.

Now, what essentially is this noise all about?

It’s simply either chewing the cud of the past happenings whether fondly or with a grudge, or else projecting the future events even before they have materialized themselves (as if one could really do so!).

Along with making castles in the air, this day-dreaming projection could very much include day-mares (just like nightmares) as well!

That’s all about the noise what it is.

But, why does our mind make it after all?

The reason is very simple. An empty mind is a devil’s workshop!

Why is the mind empty, then?

No, the mind is not really empty. It has rather gone blank to a great extent.

We should rather modify our proverb – A blank mind is a devil’s workshop.

What does a blank mind mean? How is a blank mind different from an empty mind?

OK, a blank mind is one that has gone blank (to a great extent) about what right now is happening in front of it, here. It’s lost somewhere else.

Being lost somewhere else is what making noise means!

A blank mind is not a centrally fixated mind.

The center is here. The center is now.

The blank mind is neither interested in here nor in now.

The moment it (if) went interested, it would immediately go empty. It would no more remain blank. It would stop making all the noise. It would instantaneously get centrally fixated in the center of the action going on right now, here.

It would stop making noise with all the thoughts either of the past, or of the future.

What is happening right now doesn’t require any past or future thought in order to perceive it full.

What it requires is the process of thinking supported with all the knowledge from the storehouse of the past memories, not in an emotional way but rather technically so.

Thinking and thought are two different entities.

A blank mind is lost in its thoughts making all the noise on earth.

An empty mind is a still mind that THINKS without THOUGHTS.

But, what you will find in the name of chakra meditation in almost all the popular readings on the topic is simply slogan mongering borrowed from the ancient scriptures without really experiencing what is written there and why.

You will find all the weird kinds of chants, color imaginations, symbol visualizations, aura-viewing, crystal healing ending up in selling chakra jewelry, audio music and tones, and all the unnatural body postures along with forceful breathing techniques with the names of ‘mudras’, ‘bandhs’ and various different kinds of ‘pranayama’ promising opening this one or that of yours in the name of chakra meditation they suggest you to do.

They are either telling cock and bull stories or else using a cannon for something that only required aiming with a small gun at it!

Take it from me (if you will), it only adds to the noise of the mind that it is already making, deafening the listening faculty of your brain.

Nothing from outside can help you open your chakras. You have to open them all from within.

The persons who are offering these feel-good maneuvers have neither been there nor done that, themselves. I came to know of it only after my personal interaction with lot many of them.

In fact, the very physical process of opening them in itself is the most challenging chakra meditation that you need keeping doing all the 24 hours of the day (as opposed to a few minutes of the popular feel-good maneuvers), making it a way of life that you live through every single moment of it.

This topic being a real vast one, I will be continuing with it in my next blog posts to come until every single aspect of it is properly taken care of.

Healing with Chakra Energy The Human Body and The Human Mind

7 Chakras

Healing with chakra energy the human body and the human mind is the kind of healing that is the closest to my heart’s choice.

Not only to the heart, it’s the closest to my mind’s objective assessment as well.

It’s so because it was this only that healed my lifelong myopia at age 53, which I had been a victim to since my early childhood, and which no other form of therapy could ever address even to have the slightest effect on it.

Except for my myopia, I have always been quite healthy all through my life. I, almost, never needed visiting physicians or consuming medicines for any of my ailments. Even as and when I fell ill, I left it medically unattended; and my body took due care of it in the due course of time.

Now, what is it that we call the chakra energy?

I will just not go into the esoteric hypotheses that the spiritual discipline has been making since times immemorial, almost for the past 2500 years.

I will simply report here what I myself experienced in my own body in a very objective way.

I will also be reporting the healing journeys of my patients and clients whom I gave my workshops for various different ailments in their bodies and their minds, ranging from vision treatment (being the main thrust of my workshops) to curing headaches, sinuses, spondylitis, backaches, obesity, digestion, acidity, constipation, breathing problems, chronic fatigue syndrome, hypertension, sex drive, sex problems and mental stress; to list a few of them that just entered my memory of having worked with them in my workshops while I am writing these lines.

I would like to call myself a chakra therapist now; merging all the four, a physiotherapist, a psychotherapist, a chiropractor and a spiritual healer into one, delivering a single whole therapy that could easily change the health map on earth!

Healing with chakra energy the human body and the human mind is my passion!!

It’s probably so since I myself was my first patient whom I treated for such a complex disability that I always had dreamed for getting cured of all through the young years of my life without any success until I was 53 years old.

Today I am 59, and I feel as energetic in my body and in my mind as I did when I was at the psycho-biological prime of my life in my teens and my twenties.

We must investigate deeper into healing with chakra energy the human body and the human mind as a regular healing discipline in a scientific way, so that the humanity could be able to embrace health in the real sense of the term.

I will be doing it in my next posts to come as I narrate the healing stories of my patients and clients that I worked in my workshops with.

Crown Chakra Blocking Free Energy of Kundalini Flow

7 Chakras

The free energy of Kundalini flow, when gets blocked by a closed crown chakra aka Sahasrara, simply renders all the work done with the opening of the lower chakras as undone and ineffective as far as mobilizing the energy through its circuitous route via the spinal cord in the body is concerned; ultimately tending them all to close again in the due course of time.

In fact what the opening of third eye chakra does to us at a human level, the opening of the crown chakra extends the same to a super-human one.

The ultimate human evolution, as far as full human potential is concerned, remains incomplete unless the seventh chakra is opened along with the rest of them all.

Conversely speaking, an open crown guarantees that the rest of them all are open too.

It opens the last gate that had been obstructing the flow of energy to complete its circuitous path entering the body through the root chakra and leaving it from the crown in order to enter the root again, and thus keep its flow dynamic.

It relaxes every single muscle in the body to be in its highest state of efficiency as and when an action is to be done in its totality.

As the muscles get relaxed and ready, mind follows suit too. All stress is relieved and the mind rests in ultimate peace as it comes to its state of being in here and now.

You turn to be your own master rather than being a puppet in the hands of what your destiny had written for you. You write tour own story with your own pen in your own ink!

You go capable of turning not only your own life but also the life of humanity into a heaven to live.

Amen.

Anatomy and Physiology of Crown Chakra aka Sahasrara

7 Chakras

The anatomy and physiology of the crown chakra aka Sahasrara are associated not only with the posturing and the functioning of the organs in skull, in structure as well as in action; but also with the working of brain at its maximum efficiency.

Of course, here also the first effect goes on the structure of the eyeballs and the working of eyes as far as eyesight is concerned, only to do so in its completeness.

The eyeballs turn perfectly round when the eyes are looking at a far off point. When it happens so, the eyes focus only at one single point in order to see it clearer than the next point sitting just adjacent to it. This is what is called the central fixation.

Eyes are the borderline organ between the body and the brain. Central fixation of the eyes is the central fixation of the mind as well, and thence the central fixation of the brain!

It means the brain will focus on one single thing when the eyes are focusing on one single point. All the neurological pathways in the brain and the body go uninterrupted, freed from the mind’s compulsive thought process, and thus get clearly channeled on to the concern in the moment in its totality.

Eureka!

It takes the brain to be here and now.

We will look into its implications on health and energy in our next blog posts to come.

Third Eye Chakra Blocking Free Energy of Kundalini Flow

7 Chakras

The free energy of Kundalini flow, when gets blocked by third eye chakra aka Ajna chakra, severs the organism’s connection with outside world to a considerable extent, either in the close vicinity of it or in the alienation of distance far away from it along with the distortions that it generates in both of them.

It all started with the human species standing on its twos from its fours in the process of evolution.

Standing on twos was challenging the gravity to a much greater extent than it was when our evolutionary ancestors stood on their fours.

Humans experience much greater a pull of gravity on their bodies downwards than animals do so.

Also standing on twos changed the direction of the face exactly by 90 degrees like it had changed that of the torso, in order to re-posture it against the downward pull of the gravity if it was to keep looking straight in front of the body.

It again fell victim to an increased pull of gravity on its jaws along with its temporomadibular joints.

Slowly and gradually in the struggle of social existence for mastering not only the planet but also the outside nature, it went on ignoring its inherent inner nature and kept giving in to the pull of gravity by dropping its crucial organs down by squeezing them in.

That’s how two new chakras came into existence as closed, namely the third eye chakra and the crown chakra which were not at all there till we were on our fours.

But the evolution has not yet been complete.

We as a species have to complete it now by opening all our 7 chakras in one single go with the help of the gray matter that only this evolution has endowed us with!

Throat Chakra Blocking Free Energy of Kundalini Flow

7 Chakras

The free energy of Kundalini flow, when gets blocked by the throat chakra, results in not only losing the balance of the hormone flow through the body, but also the balance of life in the mind body system that we humans are.

It gives the shoulders their second slouch in the form of a droop as well as a habitual bend to the neck stopping the head from being held high.

It brings disaster!

It tends to pull the third eye chakra down and thus blur the vision and the mind out of their single-pointed focus.

It also tends to pull the crown chakra down losing the dynamic focus out of its balance in life.

Not only this, it also contracts the muscles around the organs placed below it, i.e., the solar plexus, the abdomen, and the pelvis!

It sure is a major culprit as far as the body diseases are concerned!

But why on earth do we keep our shoulders drooping and the head held low?

In fact we need energy to keep them upright against the pull of gravity.

We don’t have enough energy in our body to keep them so!

Now the basic question is: Why?

We keep losing it in providing it to maintain the rigidity of the muscular armor all through our body.

It’s the effect of precisely of what it is a cause, too!

It makes this cause and effect maze a vicious circle of energy.

The cause and the effect start reinforcing each other giving strength not to the body but to this vicious circle of energy!

The scapulae either get stretched or else contracted in a distorted way.

They exert their pull on the neck also which gets distorted in another ugly way turning into a stiff neck that is so common a phenomenon all across humanity on the planet.

The backbone takes up the shape of an inverted arch bending the torso down toward the pull of gravity!

The jaws are pulled down too, distorting their alignment with each other.

All this gets reduced to turn into an unnatural body posture, which we start taking to be a natural phenomenon.

If everyone is insane around, the sane will be taken to mental asylum!

We turn old in our youth, never realizing what we have done to ourselves!

With a throat chakra gone closed, we are left with no free energy of Kundalini flow even to lively communicate with our fellow beings on earth! All our communications get reduced to social protocols and emotional slogan mongering alone.

Poor we!

Heart Chakra Blocking Free Energy of Kundalini Flow

7 Chakras

As the free energy of Kundalini flow gets blocked by the heart chakra, it ends up in clogging not only the flow of blood, but the flow of almost everything in your life.

As it happens so, we tend to shrink within our own self, slouching our shoulders in the process.

Which mental disposition makes us slouch our shoulders?

It’s simply the mental hurry that our psyche resorts to in whatever we are doing!

But how does the equation form itself?

Well, if we are ambitious, we will sure be in mental hurry to fulfill those ambitions.

Let us accumulate today, and tomorrow we shall spend it to enjoy!

The more and the earlier, the better we will be able to do so!

Our shoulders tend to push us forward, generating a forward slouch in them narrowing the chest and, in the process, heart also.

We turn into a petty soul.

The world turns into a battle field for us and the people around, our hostile competitors who we need winning the battle from.

They are our potential enemies always throwing challenges on us.

Our shoulders assume defensive stance against them as they interact with us.

We want to achieve their loyalty without ever accepting them as our fellow humans.

We want to be number 1!

Success becomes our reason to live.

Our social culture further reinforces these values in our mind.

We go on alienating ourselves from the world around.

We get buried in the grave of our own little, petty self!

The dead men walking and the dead men talking!!

We get entrapped in the vicious circle of our loneliness with our soul craving hard to be loved by everyone around without our ever loving them without any condition.

We crave to go rich.

We crave to go famous.

The rich and the famous!

Isn’t it this only that the entire world is craving for, today?

We feel we are insecure, out in the world around.

We also feel we need to keep our armor intact.

Our muscular armor provides us with our safety shield around our soul.

And the soul forgets how to flow with the free energy of Kundalini flowing through our body as it gets blocked at the location of the blocked heart chakra along our torso.

Anatomy and Physiology of Heart Chakra aka Anahata

7 Chakras

The anatomy and physiology of the heart chakra aka Anahata are associated with those of the circulatory system or cardiovascular system.

As the chakra gets dissolved, the organ of heart as a muscle no more remains constricted as well as receives more oxygenated blood back from the lungs extra-activated through opening the solar plexus chakra.

Hence the heart is able to pump out more volume of pure oxygenated blood in its one single stroke that it doesn’t need to push very hard; and if the arteries are not already clogged, it tends to lower the pressure with which the blood is pumped out into the aorta.

Cardiovascular physiology is the study of the circulatory system or cardiovascular system. More specifically, it addresses the physiology of the heart (cardio) and blood vessels (vascular).

Prolonged aerobic exercise training that dissolving the solar plexus chakra automatically imparts to the body may also increase stroke volume, which frequently results in a lower (resting) heart rate.

Reduced heart rate prolongs ventricular diastole (filling), increasing end-diastolic volume, and ultimately allowing more blood to be ejected.

Some observed signs and symptoms suggest that the high blood pressure is caused by disorders in hormone regulation as well, which is a direct consequence of the neighboring chakra, i.e., the throat chakra, being closed.

So in combination with the solar plexus and the throat chakras, the chakra in question takes care of the well-being of heart along with cardiovascular physiology.

Heart Chakra aka Anahata: Anatomical Configuration

7 Chakras

Now was the turn of pectoralis minor.

It was the fourth chakra, the heart chakra called Anahata in Sanskrit; ready to dissolve itself by dissolving the frozen shoulder that a contracted pectoralis minor had caused through all the years of keeping the shoulders stiff to a considerable extent.

Frozen shoulder tends to push us forward, generating a forward slouch in the shoulders narrowing the chest and, in the process, heart also.

Our slouching shoulders give us a defensive stance against a stranger that we find almost everyone of our fellow humans around.

We are living in a world full of enemies around, each one of us searching for friends who are nothing but illusions even when we feel we have got a few of them!

The moment one’s self-oriented motives clash with those of even the closest friends, one doesn’t hesitate stabbing them in their back.

A frozen shoulder doesn’t let us remain a big-hearted person.

The Pectoralis minor is a thin, triangular muscle, situated at the upper part of the chest, beneath the Pectoralis major.

It depresses the point of the shoulder, drawing the scapula inferior and medial, towards the thorax, and throwing its inferior angle posteriorly.

As the chakra opened, it pushed the elbows away from keeping touching the ribs on the outer sides of the thoracic diaphragm.

The chest went wider horizontally, increasing the distance between the two nipples.

The scapulae in the back postured themselves a little closer to each other.

Again in this maneuver too, the care was to be taken that the hips would not push them forward as well as the thoracic diaphragm would not drop itself DOWN or else squeeze itself IN; or else the entire maneuver would go distorted.

It took care of the thoracic cavity just like the sacral and the solar plexus chakras had taken, of the abdominal; and the root chakra, of the pelvic.

We shall talk about the effects of opening the fourth chakra, i.e., the heart chakra or Anahata on the physiology of various different systems connected with the area of its location in our next blog post to come.

Solar Plexus Chakra Blocking Free Energy Of Kundalini Flow

7 Chakras

When the free energy of Kundalini flow gets blocked by the solar plexus chakra at its location, it results in feeling suffocated both at the level of the body as well as at the level of the mind.

We forget how to let go. We start holding up tight everything that comes up in life.

As we are ourselves suffocated, we tend to suffocate every other thing or person that ever comes in contact with us.

We turn a little bit too much possessive as far as owning a thing is concerned.

When the openness of the body gets constricted, the mind goes narrow as well.

It does so at two levels. First the feelings go constricted, turning us less sensitive to the pains and pleasures of our fellow humans around; and we are left no more than narrow minded Shylocks in life.

Second, the thinking goes constricted, turning us less curious to the wonders of the world around; and we lose the basic human intelligence that we are gifted with, blocking the way of insight that we could have embraced in life.

The mind starts getting anxious, getting busy in building measures for safety and security against the worldly threats that are, supposedly, yet to come; rather than facing them, if they really are, here and now.

It gets obsessed with preparing for the future in the present, turns ambitious, and goes anxious.

Ambition starts replacing the joy of the moment!
